MindFull App

MindFull aims to address the lack of accessibility to effective mental health resources in today's society by offering a comprehensive digital solution to empower people to manage their emotional challenges and promote sustainable mental wellbeing.

Goal

The main objective is to provide individuals of various ages and backgrounds with practical tools and ongoing support through a mental health app, encouraging emotional self-management and helping to build a more positive and resilient mindset.

Responsibilities

User Research

I start by learning about my users—their needs, habits, and problems—through interviews, surveys, or observation.

User Interface/User Flow Design

I design each screen and define how users move through the app to make sure the experience feels clear and natural.

Design Iteration

Based on feedback, I refine the design and keep improving the user experience step by step.

Creating Personas

I create fictional profiles that represent different types of users to guide my design decisions.

Prototyping

I build an interactive model of the app to test ideas and visualize how everything works before development.

Review of Analytics

Once the app is live, I track user behavior through data to see what’s working and what needs fixing.

User Experience Maps

I map out the steps users take in the app to understand their journey and spot pain points or opportunities.

User Testing

I let real users try the prototype to see where they struggle and what works well.

Documentation

I keep clear records of decisions, flows, and designs to stay organized and ensure consistency.

Understanding the user

In the initial user research stage for this mental health app, interviews and surveys were conducted to understand users' needs and preferences. Initially, it was assumed that they would focus on relaxation techniques, but after data analysis, it was discovered that many were looking for tools to strengthen resilience and self-esteem. The focus was adjusted to include more positive psychology and self-improvement content in response to these needs.

Weak points

Paper wireframes

Taking the time to develop iterations of each screen of the paper application ensures that the elements that made it into the digital wireframes were adequate to address the users' pain points.

Low Fidelity Prototype

Usability study: Findings

These studies allowed us to assess the effectiveness, ease of use and user satisfaction when interacting with the application.

High Fidelity Prototype

Accessibility considerations

MindFull application demonstrates that it has been designed with user accessibility in mind, taking into account many factors, which together with its purpose makes it a tool to help anyone.

What I learned

What I have been able to see most clearly throughout this project is the importance of the research process when it comes both to devising and designing. It is necessary to carry out exhaustive studies of both people and other companies if you really want to achieve something professional.
